What is a Mochi Donut?
A mochi donut, also known as a mochi ring or mochi-nut, is a unique hybrid dessert that combines the chewy texture of traditional japanese mochi with the shape and sweetness of a donut. Mochi is a type of Japanese rice cake made from glutinous rice flour, which gives it a chewy and sticky texture. mochi donuts are made by mixing mochi flour with wheat flour, sugar, eggs, milk, and other ingredients to create a dough that is then shaped into rings, fried until golden brown, and often coated with various toppings such as matcha powder, sesame seeds, or flavored glazes.
